Established 1954
APIA Leichhardt joined the NSW Soccer Federation in 1957 and left in 1978 to join the National Soccer League. The club played in the NSL between 1979 and 1992, winning the league in 1987. Since leaving the NSL, APIA has played in the NSW Premier League - which is semi-professional and the second highest level of football in Australia (only behind the fully professional A-League).
